Invader II E642II

Can an extremely successful amp like the original Invader be improved at all? The answer is: yes! Meet the Invader II. If you’re on the hunt for peerless tones and variety, the Invader II gives you a flexibility that is second to none. A whopping number of 16 (yes, 16!) sounds are the base from which you can discover new worlds of sound. You can also optionally use the Sound Wizard Module (SWM Z16) with the Invader II - a slot and connection port on the back of the amp are ready for this purpose.

Using the Z16’s 96 micro rocker switches, you can comprehensively tweak your tones at any gain setting… it’s a dream come true for all tone hunters! And if you’re wondering where the 16 ‘base’ sounds come from: there’s four channels, each with low and high gain modes (for a total of eight sounds), plus the Sound switch, which alters your tone based on your channel and gain settings (and making for a total of 16!). All this is, of course, controllable via MIDI, and with a 3-band EQ per channel, noise gate and comprehensive connection options on-board, there’s nothing the Invader II can’t do!

This amp is as hot as a Fireball. The Clean channel offers chimey, shimmering cleans and starts to smoothly break up as you edge past 12 o’clock on the gain knob. At higher gain settings, you can wring chimey, shimmering crunch sounds out of this channel. The Lead channel starts where the Clean channel ends, offering up endless amounts of gain. This channel is perfect for any style of rock and metal music. The built-in Noise Gate helps you tame any extraneous noise at higher gain settings.

The Mid Boost function is a great option for cutting through any band mix, for example when you need to take center stage for a solo! The power amp is equipped with 6L6GC tubes, just like the amp’s bigger brother, the Fireball 100. Thanks to the power amp design, the Fireball 25 has enough punch and headroom for every live and studio situation. The built-in Power Soak offers you the opportunity to play late at night or whenever higher volumes are unacceptable, and also gives you the chance to push the power amp to break up at lower volumes.

A true classic in the world of amp heads in its latest and best reincarnation, this amp is simply incomparable when it comes to dynamics and flexibility. The Mark II includes some incredible new inner developments, as well as a bunch of new features. The MIDI port is now included as standard, as well as a finely tuned and sensitive-responding noise gate - so you’ll not be disrupted by extraneous noise, even at extreme gain settings.

Our iconic amplifier designer, Horst Langer, has also reworked the 3-band EQ from Channel 1 and Channel 2, which come freshly voiced and equipped with Lean/Bold circuits for two different mids characters. Also new is the Gain Lo/Hi circuit, where the Clean channel becomes “Crunch” in “Hi” mode, and the Lead channel gets even fatter and heavier. Four channels, tons of sound-shaping features and truly thunderous tones make the SAVAGE Mark II the perfect sound center for a modern guitar rig.

This amp is designed to officiate as the missing link between the analog and the digital world. Soundwise we made no compromises, so there are no semiconductors in the signal path to keep the sound as pure as possible. This amp is in fact an All-Tube-Head. Basically it is a two channel amp where every channel is boostable. The Clean channel offers chime shimmering cleans and smoothly breaks up at higher settings. Thanks to the gain boost function you can boost the channel to get nice shimmering crunch sounds out of it.

The Lead channel starts where the Clean channel ends and offers a huge amount of gain and can even be boosted to make it more versatile. This channel is perfect to play any style of Rock and Metal music. We used digital components for the Midi System, the Effects section and the Impulse Response Loader. The built-in Power Soak offers you the opportunity to play late at night or whenever higher volumes are unacceptable. Furthermore it gives you the opportunity to push the amplifier´s poweramp to breakup at low volumes.

It’s hard to believe how much you can fit into an amp in a compact lunchbox format! Twenty tube watts can still be mighty powerful, so with the Powersoak, the output power can be reduced to 1 Watt, or the speaker can be completely deactivated - perfect for practicing with headphones or for recording sessions late at night. We’ve also given the Ironball a frequency-corrected line output. The Master Volume Boost (M.V.B.) provides a footswitchable boost of the master volume, meaning you have a second master volume at your disposal. A Presence control and built-in reverb make this sound package ready, no matter whether you’re headed to the stage or the studio!

This amp has a very special history! It is our hidden gem, the secret prototype that became legendary as it passed between the iconic studios of Los Angeles. Based on the E650 Ritchie Blackmore amps, we designed an amp for Doug Aldrich back in 2005. It was supposed to feature a few modifications, such as EL34 tubes in the power amp stage; increased dynamics and unmatched tone was the mission. The concept was clear: easy handling, practical features and peak performance. But somehow, this amp never saw the light of day, and never get released.

Instead, it ended up in our showroom in Los Angeles. From there, it made the rounds through various studios in the music metropolis, and was played by renowned greats like Jimmy Page, Ken Hammer, Vivian Campbell, Paul Stanley and Scott Gorham. Mr G. M. himself put the amp in his studio in the last few years before his death. And, finally, and due to the great response from these world-class players, we have decided to raise this model from the prototype stage to the status of an official ENGL amp! Now it’s yours to enjoy.

Based on the Ritchie Blackmore Amps E650, we designed an amp for Doug Aldrich in 2005. It should contain a few modifications, such as EL34 tubes in the poweramp stage; a lot of dynamics and sound was the mission. The concept was clear: easy handling, practical features and sufficient performance. However, this amp never saw the light of the world, but ended up in our showroom in Los Angeles.

From there he made the rounds through various studios of the music metropolis. Renowned greats like Jimmy Page, Ken Hammer, Vivian Campbell, Paul Stanley and Scott Gorham played him. Mr G. M. put him in the studio in the last few years before his death. Due to the great response of world-class players, we have decided to raise this model from the prototype stage to the status of an official ENGL amp.
